Someone who has been building firmware for microprocessors for 5+ years is who we’re looking for. You MUST have experience with a realtime OS and experience working with TCP/IP as well as OSI layers. An EE, CS, or CE degree is mandatory, because we want to know that you have the background to work in this low level environment and can communicate in the same language as the rest of the team.
The team is a tight knit team of experience firmware engineers. These people have all been with the company for more than 5 years, so you will have tons of experience to learn and ask questions – however you will be expected to be able to handle your own project from start to finish.
Things that will make you stand out: experience with many different microprocessors, experience with troubleshooting complex problems, and/or a Master’s degree.
You will be required to do the following in this job:
- Gather requirements
- Hold code reviews
- Follow the company coding standards
- Be process oriented
- Use Version control and defect tracking tools
- Be a team player
- Communicate clearly and effectively
Your managers understand that an engineer doesn’t necessarily have everything memorized and that looking things up quickly can be just as effective as memorization. This company believes in a work/life balance, provides flexible scheduling (get your 40 and your work done), and they also provide bonuses based on your performance as well as the companies. Also, a competitive benefits package will be provided.
