Data Science Engineer


Our client is a company who prides themselves on having a team that collaborates really well. It’s an open door policy.  Everyone in the company can approach anyone else in the company and chat, ask questions, and generally get on the same page about what’s going on. If you like a highly collaborative company where you may talk to developers or the VPE in the span of 5 minutes, then this company could be a great fit.


The Job

You will be involved in the development, validation, and presentation of complex statistical data (and tons of it). This is a role for someone who can read and write code, knows statistical algorithms like the back of their hand, and can clearly communicate results without putting everyone to sleep.  We are not looking for an analyst who has written code sometime in the last 3 years, we’re looking for a coder with data analysis experience.


The Interview

They will have you do 4 interviews, 2 of which are with the team and direct managers, in order to make sure they can get a good feel for how you communication and how you work with others.



Pay is in the 80-100k range, plus 401k, benefits, and “as you need it” vacation.


Skills we’re looking for

– R, Python, and hopefully the ability to read/write PHP
– Experience with Data analysis and statistics
– Ability and willingness to do everything from scrubbing, coding for, and presenting data
– It would be great if you have some data science algorithm experience as well
– You must have a strong ability to communicate with your peers, customers, and managers
