Are you a project manager who has a tech background? We are hoping that you are, because we’re looking for a PM who knows how to read PHP, can jump in when necessary to help out, who can work with customers directly, and who can keep themselves and the developers organized.
The team you would join is a fully telecommute team in a very laid back company who loves to travel (the boss worked through a 6 month around the world trip recently). They work from where they are, so long as they get their work done. If you can do this, you would be a great addition to the team – as long as you can do the following:
- Talk to customers
- Manage and organize 1-3 developers and 1-2 projects
- Read code
- Jump into code and fix small bugs as necessary (5-10% of the time)
- Install Drupal as necessary
- Hit deadlines. Every. Single. Time. (there are typically a couple per quarter)
- Have great communication
Ideally, we would really like to find someone who is not only interested but excited about about other people’s businesses. Someone who can see the big picture, understand your customer’s business, talk to them about features, and even upsell them on these features. Showing that you’re hungry to learn, help customers, and grow the business will be looked upon very favorably.
This position gives you the flexibility to work from wherever you would like and manage your projects in the manner you prefer. You will be paid a 70k base with bonuses based on company performance which have averaged in the 10-15% range over the past couple of years. You will be expected to put 35-45 hours per week, on a flexible schedule.
This job is available in Aspen or Denver, because the boss is based in Aspen and would love to have a PM local if possible. No matter where you live, you will be asked to visit Aspen 2-3 times per year for a couple days at a time as well as Denver 2-3 times per year in order to meet with customers.
